Woodbine Neighborhood

The Neighborhood

The neighborhood, like many others, was originally settled as reward given to those who fought in the Revolutionary War. It gets its name from the honeysuckles that were plentiful on the original plantation.

The up-and-coming neighborhood has phenomenal access to the Thompson Lane branch of the Nashville Public Library.  Just down the road, the Coleman Park Community Center is a beautiful new facility dedicated to health, wellness, and after-school activities, offering a full service fitness center, a number of exercise classes, a pool and more.  Whitsett Park is another great attraction, with athletic fields and green space in abundance.

The Woodbine neighborhood is stacked with eclectic food offerings.  La Hacienda Taqueria is a local go-to for some of the best authentic Mexican food in town and its friendly atmosphere. Winner of the Scene’s best Vietnamese restaurant in 2017, Vui’s Kitchen is another local favorite. The cuisine is fresh and healthy with abundant use of herbs and spices.  Local favorites are the bahn mi and the pho. Baja Burrito consistently ranks as one of Nashville's top restaraunts and is known for its Baja California-style fare.
